New Police and Crime Commissioner elected for Swindon and Wiltshire
Conservative candidate Philip Wilkinson has been elected as Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Wiltshire and Swindon.

The count for the Wiltshire and Swindon PCC elections was completed earlier today (20 August) and the result declared.
The results of the first preference votes were as follows:
Junab Ali (Labour and Co-operative) - 12,971
Julian Malins (Reform UK) - 1,859
Brian Mathew (Liberal Democrats) - 17,966
Mike Rees (Independent) - 25,197
Philip Wilkinson (Conservative) - 32,564
Philip Wilkinson and Mike Rees went through to the second vote.
The total number of valid first and second preference votes cast for the remaining candidates were as follows:
Philip Wilkinson (Conservative) - 37,752
Mike Rees (Independent) - 34,815
The election saw a turnout of 16.63 per cent across Wiltshire and Swindon with 91,553 votes cast in total.
