All Aboard for Summer Holiday £1 Offer at STEAM
The school holidays are almost here and that can mean only one thing – that children can visit the STEAM Museum for just £1.

STEAM’s Kids for a Quid offer is available from 22 July to 1 September and will mean that up to four children (aged three to 15) can visit STEAM for just £1 each when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
Councillor Dale Heenan, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member responsible for STEAM, said: “It doesn’t take a ‘Spark of Genius’ to realise that STEAM's summer holiday offer is the perfect time to visit.
“Our Kids for a Quid promotion is a great way for families to have a fun day out and, with STEAM having activities covering Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, there is something for everyone to learn this summer.
“Children can climb aboard famous locomotives, drive the train simulator and find out what it was like being a signalman. As well as the themed activity sessions taking place, there is also the fun trail and the chance to have a go on the Seaside Pier vintage slot machines. The STEAM Museum has lots of surprises in store this summer.”
Special family activities for the holidays include a new ‘Genius’ trail to complement the museum’s brand new exhibition ‘Spark of Genius’, opening on 26 July. The trail adds an extra learning dimension to the story-telling displays at STEAM and is included in admission and free to season ticket holders.
On 6, 7 and 8 August (10am – 3pm), it’s Meccano Challenge Week at the museum. Using Junior Meccano, children will be encouraged to use unique metal and plastic parts to build land based and flying models.
The new family trail and Meccano activity sessions are included in admission and free to season ticket holders (which pay for themselves after two visits).
Visitors can buy a ticket online from the STEAM website.
Alternatively, download the Kids for a Quid voucher from STEAM’s website and pay on the door.
STEAM is open every day between Monday and Saturday between 10am and 5pm and from 11am until 4pm on Sundays.
