The highly anticipated Great Western Brick Show returns to STEAM on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 October 2024, celebrating 21 years of extraordinary LEGO creations.

This year, the event promises to be more spectacular than ever with the introduction of two exciting new features: the Outlet Trail and a competition for schools.
In collaboration with McArthur Glen Swindon Designer Outlet, STEAM and Brickish, the Great Western Brick Show presents the all-new Outlet Trail. Running from now until Sunday, 29 September, visitors to Swindon Designer Outlet can take part in a thrilling treasure hunt, searching for 10 LEGO models hidden throughout the shopping centre. Each model holds a letter and you need to collect them all to uncover a secret phrase.
Those who successfully decipher the phrase will have the chance to enter an exciting competition, with the grand prize being a family ticket to the Great Western Brick Show itself.
Alongside the Outlet Trail, this year also marks the launch of the Great Western Brick Show’s first-ever school competition - a unique opportunity for young minds to showcase their creativity.
In partnership with The LEGO Group, schools are invited to participate in a brick-building challenge with a purpose: Design a railway bridge of the future to combat climate change.
Winning teams will not only have their models displayed at this year’s show, but will also compete for exciting LEGO prizes for their schools. As a special highlight, winners will have the chance to meet a real LEGO Master builder from the LEGO House in Denmark, making this an unmissable opportunity for young builders.

Ian Surtees, Income Generation and Business Development Manager at STEAM, said: “The Great Western Brick Show is one of STEAM’s largest and most popular events and is something people look out for every year. I’m really excited to see the event expand and offer more alongside its two days.
“Already we’ve had the Brick Explorer Day and now we’ve got a trail to keep families entertained until the big day with the chance to win free entry.
“It’s also great to see how LEGO is engaging with our schools and the competition is a really fantastic way for children to get creative and win some great prizes.”
