How long does an application take?
We aim to contact you with our decision within 40 working days of your application. We assess applicants’ housing needs as quickly as we can.
If you are threatened with homelessness in the next 56 days, we would advise you to contact our Housing Options team by email at housingoptions@swindon.gov.uk.
Notification of your acceptance
You will receive a letter within 40 working days confirming you are eligible to join the housing register. The letter will tell you the band you have been placed in, the date your application has been registered and the size of property you are eligible for. The letter will be sent either by email or by post.
