How to reset your password

  1. Visit www.swindon.gov.uk and in the search bar at the top of the website, type the word ‘bidding’ and click the search icon.

  2. When the search results webpage opens, select the first search result called ‘Bid for a council or housing association property’.

  3. When the webpage opens, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the orange button link that says ‘Sign in and bid for a property’.

  4. At the bottom of the webpage beneath the title 'Forgotten your details?', click the ‘re-register' link.

  5. You will then be asked to type in your application number, surname and date of birth.

  6. Click the ‘Next’ button and a new webpage will load saying ‘We have sent you a new password...’, which will contain your new password and your current username. Your new password will be a mixture of numbers, letters and characters.

  7. Click the word ‘Login’ in the top right hand corner of the website and type in your username and the new password you were given in the email. Please do not copy and paste your password. You will then be able to change your password to something you can remember more easily.

  8. You will then be taken to your bidding homepage. Click the ‘About me’ link in the menu at the top of the webpage and click ‘Change password’, where you can change your password to something more memorable to you.

  9. After this, you will be able to bid as before.
