School nursing
Our School Nursing Service is dedicated to supporting all school-aged children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential regardless of their health and wellbeing needs or challenges.
Our approach includes:
- helping children and young people build resilience and adopt healthy lifestyles
- enhancing health behaviours and reducing risk-taking
- providing confidential, personalised advice and support
- assisting vulnerable young people and addressing health inequalities
- collaborating with families, teachers and professionals to prioritise health needs and ensure support is available
- supporting complex and additional health needs
- encouraging self-care
Our team is comprised of Specialist Nurses, Registered Nurses and School Health Screeners. With a wealth of experience and regular training, our team is well-equipped to work with children, young people and their families to support their health needs.
