Frequently asked questions: Synergy schools portal

Who will use the Synergy schools portal?

Any settings and internal Swindon Borough Council children's service professional involved in the EHCP assessment and Annual Review process, including:

  • Schools and academies
  • Early years settings who are DfE registered as part of a school
  • Post-16 establishments
  • Educational Psychologists
  • Advisory teachers
  • Education Welfare services
  • School admissions

Processionals who cannot currently access the Synergy portal are:

  • NHS services
  • Social Care
  • Early Years settings who are not DfE registered as part of a school
  • Other external services 

Synergy are developing their professional portal function and this will be rolled out in the near future.

How to register for the Synergy schools portal

If you do not have a Synergy account you will have to complete the portal application form. You can also find the SAM - School Access Module Guide, if you need further guidance on how to navigate the module.
