Wanborough Road works

As part of the new Redlands housing development for the New Eastern Villages, the installation of new highway drainage, street lights and footpath construction is required on Wanborough Road.

For these improvements to go ahead, Conlon Ltd will be installing temporary traffic signals until early February 2023, to allow access to Wanborough Village over the Christmas period, maximizing access to local businesses. Conlon will be fully closing the road again in early February 2023, allowing work to recommence. This will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Wanborough Road between Poplars Nursery to Burycroft Junction.

Access to business and homes on the road will be maintained, and emergency services have been notified of the traffic management and closure plans.

Due to safety reasons, cyclists and walkers will not be able to travel through the hard closure.

We will also be working on the Southern Connector Access Road scheme under this closure.
