Many foster carers have transferred to us from other fostering agencies. If you are an approved foster carer with another organisation and are thinking about moving, we can help.

Making the move to Swindon Borough Council is easy and there are many benefits, including:

  • Children living with you will be local. This means their social worker is also local and will be able to visit you when required.
  • Your supervising social worker will be local, so you can access support easily and quickly when you need it.
  • As a local authority foster carer, you would always be contacted in the first instance if you are considered a good match.
