Primary school admissions for September 2026
You can apply for a primary school place starting in September 2026 from Monday, 1 September 2025.
The application deadline is midnight on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
If we receive your application after the deadline, it will be classed as late and only considered after all on-time applications have been received.
If you need a school place for September 2025, you will need to complete an application through our moving or changing to a school in Swindon process.
Key dates for a primary, infant or junior school application

| 15 January 2026 | Main application period closes. You can make an application after this date, but it will be a late application. Late applications are not considered until all on-time applications have been considered and allocated. |
| 12 March 2026 | Deadline to submit a change of address for consideration. |
| 16 April 2026 | Offer day. You will receive your offer of a primary school place. |
| 30 April 2026 | Deadline day for accepting an offer. |
