Home contents insurance for your council home

Tenants home contents insurance has ended

From Monday, 1 April 2024, the Council has decided it will no longer offer the opportunity to purchase home contents insurance whilst paying their rent.

Where can you find tenants home contents insurance now?

If you still want to insure your contents you should look for alternative providers which provide ‘tenant’s contents insurance’. A new provider can be found via the internet or by contacting providers located locally.
