  • My child receives free school meals, but my holiday activities and food programme (HAF) funding application wasn’t successful
    • All children in reception, year 1 and year 2 receive universal free school meals based on their age
    • The HAF programme is only available to children who qualify for benefits-related free school meals
    • If your child is in reception, year 1, or year 2 and you believe they may be eligible for HAF funding, you need to apply for benefits-related free school meals

  • When does the HAF programme run?
    • The HAF programme operates during the spring, summer and winter term holidays only

  • My child has SEN/SEND. Can they attend any holiday club?
    • Yes, children with SEN/SEND are welcome
    • Provide the holiday club(s) with any relevant information about your child’s needs to ensure they can accommodate and support them appropriately

  • Can my child attend different holiday clubs in the same week or holiday period?
    • Yes, your child can attend different holiday clubs in the same week or holiday period
    • The total hours booked cannot exceed your entitlement
    • Unused hours or days cannot be carried over to the next holiday period

  • Can I book in advance for the next holiday dates?
    • No, eligibility can only be confirmed for one holiday period at a time

  • How do I receive my voucher?
    • Vouchers will be sent to eligible families approximately one month before the start of each HAF delivery period
    • The email will be sent by Holiday Activities and will include:
      • a link to redeem your voucher
      • access to view and book available HAF activities
