Parent feedback
The feedback below was received from parents about their childs early education experience.
Questions you may have about using early years education
Can I use an early years and childcare provider if my child isn’t talking yet?
- Yes, a childcare setting will help to develop your child’s speech and language skills
Can I use an early years and childcare provider if my child is still in nappies?
- Yes, childcare providers will support you with toilet training and many children develop this quicker by being around their peers and copying them
What if I am hoping to move soon?
- Early years funding is very flexible and can be transferred to another setting if required
I don’t want to use a childminder
- Childminders have to follow the same statutory EYFS guidance and are OFSTED registered the same as other childcare providers
I think my child is too young
- Most children adapt very well to a childcare setting and develop independence and a range of new skills but flexible funding means that their hours can be reduced to suit their needs
