Main agencies

  • Swindon Borough Council - is the freeholder of the Health Hydro. SBC’s lead officer for the Health Hydro’s restoration is David Dewart, Head of Strategic Place Making working closely with the Council’s property, finance and planning departments.   • Greenwich Leisure Limited (Better) - is the leaseholder and operator of the Health Hydro, alongside five other leisure centres in Swindon. See: Leisure Centres, Gyms and Swimming Pools in Swindon
  • The Friends of the Health Hydro - are a group of local people who are passionate about the Health Hydro and its’ history. They have many roles including campaigning, providing feedback to the team on the proposals, communicating with local people and organising heritage related activities including research and guided tours of the building.   • Fourth Street - was commissioned in November 2021 to lead the Health Hydro restoration project on behalf of the council. 
  • EW Beard - is the main contractor for the Phase 1 works.
  • MCAU - are the lead designer and architect for the phase 1 works.
  • Walker Associates - is the project’s quantity surveyor.
  • Donald Insall Associates - are the Conservation Accredited architects.
  • Doug King Consulting - is the building services engineer.
  • The Morton Partnership - is the structural engineer for the phase 1 works.
