Volunteering opportunities in Housing

Street representatives (reps)

Street Reps are community champions who are keen to make a difference to the area where they live. They join in with local projects and activities and provide information to the community on support that is available and advice services.

Being a Rep means flexible volunteering; you do what you can when you can, so it fits around you. We will always support tenants who want to establish a new group in their neighbourhood.

Street Reps also help to arrange playing out sessions to enable children to play safely in their own neighbourhood  This provides the opportunity for them to make friends while their parents, who are supervising, also get to meet neighbours and develop new friendships.

To find out more about what the Reps do, and/or to join a group, email: getinvolved@swindon.gov.uk.
