Cycling
Swindon has a network of cycle paths and routes. You can download maps from Swindon Travel Choices.
There are also a number of cycle training opportunities in Swindon.
Wheels for All provide sessions for those with disabilities and health conditions or for those who need to build their confidence.
A team of ride leaders offer free guided rides. All you will need is your own bike. It’s easy and free. You’ll meet new people, improve your fitness, and get more confident on your bike.

Walking
Walking is one of the easiest ways to get more active and lose weight.

Swindon also has a number of free guided Wellbeing Walks run by local volunteers. The local Ramblers group also offer guided walks.
Active and inclusive
Active and inclusive Swindon has a timetable of fun and inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities or health conditions including swimming, cycling, trampolining, boxing and athletics.
Leisure Centres
Local leisure centres are operated by GLL BETTER and provide activities including gyms, fitness classes, ice skating, swimming and trampolining.
Parkrun and Park Yoga
Swindon has a free weekly 5k Parkrun every Saturday at either Lydiard Park or Seven Fields in Penhill.
There is also a weekly 2k Junior Parkrun on Sundays at Lydiard Park.
Park Yoga Swindon is a free weekly Yoga session in Queens Park in Swindon. Beginners are welcome.
GoodGym
GoodGym Swindon are a community of walkers and runners that combine getting fit with community support. They take a break from exercise to carry out physical tasks for community organisations and to support isolated older people. This may include a social visit or a one-off task the person cannot do on their own.
Parks and open spaces
There are a number of free parks and open spaces in Swindon. All are fully accessible.
