Pay your Council Tax

You can make a single Council Tax payment online using a debit card. You cannot pay by credit card. 

To make a payment you will need your Council Tax account number, which is on your bill.

Paying by Direct Debit

It's easier to pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit because it means you don't have to remember to make monthly payments. You can:

• set up or amend a Direct Debit online
• call us on 0345 302 2316 with your bank account details and Council Tax account number

Single payments by phone

You can make a single payment by debit card through our automated phone service. You cannot pay by credit card.

Call 0845 603 5058, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Calls cost 5p per minute plus your telephone company’s network access charge.

You can view your Council Tax account online and check your balance.
