Report fraud

We hold any information you give in the strictest confidence.

Please provide as much of the following information as possible to help us investigate your suspicions:

  • Names and detailed descriptions of the people you are reporting
  • Details of the type of fraud they are committing
  • How long it has been happening and where it has taken place
  • Any other relevant details - where they work or their vehicle details, for example

You can report fraud using the following options:

Report fraud online

Alternatively, you can report fraud by email on reportfraud@swindon.gov.uk or by telephoning our fraud hotline at 01793 464690

You can report any suspicions you have anonymously. However, if you do provide your details, it will help our investigation should we need to obtain additional information or clarify what you have reported.

Housing benefit fraud

You should now report cases of housing benefit fraud to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by visiting the DWP website.
