Public spaces protection orders (PSPO)

Public spaces protection orders in operation (PSPO)

We are responsible for making public spaces protection orders (PSPOs). However, enforcement powers are much broader. Police officers and Police community support officers (PCSOs) also have responsibility for enforcing an order.

Any person found to be in breach of the restrictions outlined in the order, may receive an on-the-spot fixed penalty notice (FPN).

The following documents give details of the Borough-wide and Lydiard Park orders which are valid for three years:

Proposed public spaces protection order (PSPO)

We are looking at implementing a new PSPO in the Town Centre and Broadgreen area and public consultation on the proposed PSPO is now open.
